HOW TO APPLY ESTROGEN PATCHES

01

CHOOSE THE RIGHT AREA

Select an area for applying the patch where it won't rub against your clothes or where your skin doesn't move too much. It is best to apply it on the stomach, back, or buttocks. Do not place patches on sensitive body parts like the genital area or breast.

02

CLEAN AND DRY THE SKIN

To ensure the patch sticks properly, it is essential to clean and dry your skin. After taking a shower or bath, dry yourself completely before applying the patch. Avoid applying the patch on irritated, freshly shaved, or very hairy skin.

03

APPLICATION

After removing the patch from its package, peel off the plastic backing and stick it firmly onto the chosen skin area. Rub the patch carefully to ensure it sticks well.

04

MONITOR

Although patches are waterproof, they can come off, especially when submerged in water for an extended period or exposed to direct sunlight. Monitor the patch for any signs of loosening or falling off. If it falls off, try re-applying it to a new area. If that doesn't work, replace it.

05

ROTATE BODY PARTS

Avoid putting the patch in the same spot for a long time. It can cause irritation and skin damage. Try rotating body parts that you apply the patch for a week before reapplying it to that same area.

Remember, estrogen patches deliver the hormone directly into your bloodstream, making it a safer alternative to pills in specific cases.  If you have any questions or concerns about estrogen patches, consult your medical practitioner.
